Kiley stuck in a pickle!!!

Kiley is proud of her climbing skills and she will not listen to us telling her no. We have found her in the sink with the water on, on the table, counter, climbing out of her crib, and many other places. This time she climbed up the bunk bed in Cole's and Cutler's room and there she stayed. Yes I am a mean dad! It was perfect as I was cooking and this was a great way to get a few things done while she was stuck. It was probably about 15 minutes at the most and I went to check on her and this is how I found her; waiting patiently with snot all over her face.

Super fun quiz!!! I love the books, but somehow I have been unable to go see the movie. My brother-in-law Dave said that the movie is OK it is a kind of One Tree Hill show (on channel CW30), hehehehe little did he know that that is one of my favorite shows I rarely miss an episode and if I do I will watch it online. So I am sure I am going to LOVE the movie. Before I took the quiz I completely forgot about Esme, and thought well I am a lot more hospitable than Rosalie, but I am not a big party planner so I must be a Bella...hahahaha nope Esme fits me so much better. I really love being at home, it is where I find the most comfort and joy.

You are thoughtful and care deeply for your family. A loving home is a great importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcomed. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be sensitive. You are firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgement and appreciate the kind way you handle things.

And Rob...without knowing who is who in the books is...

You are strong and playful, with a good sense of humor. If their is a problem, you'd rather be actively doing something than sitting around coming up with solutions. Despite you're aggressive and competitive nature though, you're always their to back up those closest to you.

We are ready!!!

Well, we are ready for Christmas!!! I got everything wrapped...YEAH. It took about two full hours to wrap everything, which isn't too bad considering it took that long to help the boys wrap their gifts for their family members. I understand the purpose of teaching and letting them learn by allowing them to do things for themselves, but boy does it take patience gallore. Most days I am willing to patiently let them clean or watch them make toast but sometimes I want to say and sometimes I do say let mom do it. Patience is a talent, and some days I can claim to have it while other days I might loose my mind with the thoughts of toddlers.
Speaking of Toddler Cole is absolutely out of that stage, and now that he is six he is capable of a lot of things. As he has said to me several times since his birthday, "oh mom, I can do that I am 6." Being 6 is a big deal, and the only frustration he is having is that he hasn't lost any teeth. He is sure wiggling those teeth, but so far no luck. His friends are loosing their teeth, and he is six and should've lost some by now according to him. Cole has always had an age to everything at 5 he can go camping, when he is 26 he can be a dad, when he is 8 he can have those shoes with wheels on them, and so on. He always ask how old people are so that he can figure out when he might be able to do whatever they are doing that looks fun.
Today has been fun...the kids are completely out of control, which must mean Christmas is close, and I haven't lost my marbles much so we should all have a good time tomorrow. The biggest problem we are having is all of our count down calendars only show one day left to Christmas, and it is very hard to explain that it is only Christmas Eve. We have much on list to do tomorrow, first a hair appt. bummer it sounds but my client was so nice to reschedule because I was sick, then we are to making our salad, our cookies for Santa, our dessert for Christmas Eve party and then fun, fun, fun!!!
Merry Christmas to All!!!

Happy Birthday Cole!!!

Yeah...the much anticipated birthday has arrived. Cole is 6. We have been talking about his 6th birthday for approximately 364 days this last year...hahahaha. He finished turning 5 last year and he moved right on to when he would be 6.

A birthday is exciting for them, and for us. We love planning and getting ready for each of the kids' birthday. This year Cole got to have a friends birthday party...YEAH!!! So he got to pick the theme out...Star Wars, and then we get decorations (just a few, but it is enough for them), cake (usually made by our neighbor, but they were sick :-( bummer.), presents, invitations, and we are set. We invited 9 boys over, and wow was it rowdy. I had a couple of games planned like suck the marshmallow in the straw and run...hahahaha (they enjoyed this one especially afterwards they could eat them), but the paper war was not planned, but a big hit! We had lunch, and opened presents. Wow!

As a mother though the years pass too quickly. We have them and think the toddler years will never pass, and they do. This party was much louder then past years, and it is fun to see how him and his friends interact. Cole is a very happy and helpful kid. He loves being with his friends, especially Cutler. They can spend endless hours together just playing. He loves school and learning. He has many questions about how things work, especially electronics and as much as you tell him to leave things alone he will find away to examine and take apart anything to just understand it a little better. He is a big helper and it is great to have kids that can take the garbage out, and clear off the table. The other day I was on the phone with Rob and I was telling him how overwhelming the house felt, and I just didn't think I could get it cleaned up. When I got off the phone Cole had overheard and said, "Mom, I can help you and then we can get it cleaned." Wow, it worked the two of us got things done. He is a wonderful kid. We absolutely love him!!! Happy Birthday COLE!!!
