He took me out on a date, because I so desperately needed one. I told him I needed a break so he made a break happen, and we went out to eat. I started talking about this, and than that, with a little more this, and a little more that. I just thought it was normal conversation, when he said, "Wow, you have been thinking about ALL this." hahaha....we are so different. Mention something to me, and the wheels in my head start a spinning. I told him I know it is exhausting, try living with this brain.
Ok...back to my original thought.
Tonight was Enrichment, and I have to say I completely enjoyed listening to this person speak about parenting, relationships, and communication.
She said something that I loved! She said, "That the Lord would want us to parent the way he would, and with his help. That he is FULLY INVESTED in these children."
Wow, I knew that, but I never looked at it that way. He is fully invested in my children. He wants them to be happy, successful, loving children too. And He wants to help.
She reminded us of the quote by Julie Beck that says, "The ability to qualify for, receive, and act on personal revelation is the single most important ability that can be acquired in this life."
I remember hearing her make that statement, and I thought I am going to work on that. Well, I am going to again start working on that. Because I need the Lords help in raising his children.
So another quote she shared was by Patricia Holland, "If I were Satan and wanted to destroy a society, I think I would stage a full-blown blitz on women. I would keep them so distraught and distracted that they would never find the calming strength and serenity for which their gender has always been known."
I really love those words...that is a great warning to women to recognize when Satan is attacking. The words keep them so distraught and distracted, those are some good descriptive of what we are facing.
