4 Months Old

Carson is 4 months old, YEAH!!! (crazy, & sad all at the same time). He is such a good little boy. He sleeps through the night, and we never thought that would happen. He is so content. He is willing to be dragged all over the place from swim lessons, baseball, to Mesa Verde Colorado were I was told I was brave to have him with us. I think they meant crazy. He loves the older three kids, but I wonder sometimes what he would say if he could talk. Maybe, "Could you get out of my face?" He is super smiley, and he is laughing, well at least when Dad is around. Dad can get him to laugh all the time. He hardly ever cries, and if he it doesn't take much to get him to stop crying. (Moving Kiley off him, is all it usually takes.) We love this little guy!!!

--Today I laughed with my sister, only because I felt like I might cry because the challenge of getting the children in the car felt like a huge hurdle, I looked at her and said, "I must look crazy to have all these kids." So, today I am so grateful to an Apostle of the Lord because I needed to hear this today, right now, and in these moments.

A Family First

Our good friends invited us to go boating with them, really us...looks like so much fun...but we were all are a little unsure of ourself in the water. Well, we gave it a go, and guess what...WE LOVED IT!!! So I have been boating a handful of times in Young Womens, over ten years ago, and I am not the best swimmer around, but I know that my little guys are nervous too...because they were asking 101 questions the whole drive. "Mom are there fish in the water," "Mom how do we get the boat in the water," "Mom what if we can't touch," "Mom will we get hurt," "Mom" "Mom" "Mom"....so trying to be calm, and not let the kiddos know that I too had a few thoughts running through my mind said, "no worries we are going to be just fine."

We got on the boat, and I was sure, absolutely sure that all my kids would start crying (well not Cutler, he is usually pretty willing to try just anything, except food.) right when the boat went fast. I was proven wrong, first thing out of Kiley's mouth was, "lets do it again." Wow!!! So now for me was the real challenge would any of us get in the water, well, here I go, out first in the water...it wasn't too cold, except that I spent alot of time falling back down in the water. I didn't do great, but I had so much fun. Next up was Rob...holy cow...he got up the first time. The kids were so excited for him, and we loved watching him. Nick (our friend), took Culter out on the wakeboard, now that was impressive. Cutler was waving, and smiling through the whole thing. My favorite part though was getting him into the water, I wasn't really expecting Jessica (our friend) to just throw him in the water...he came up out of the water like a wet cat. Cutler is so easy going that he shook it off pretty good once he realized he could float, and then loved the wakeboard. The boys couldn't wait to go tubing. They were smiling and laughing the entire time. If they were to describe their tubing experience it would begin with, "did you see us go on the fifty foot waves." :-) And when they compare there tubing experience next to Rob's, they did much better because they never fell off. Rob tries to say that Nick was driving the boat so much faster with him, but they are pretty sure that that isn't true.

Every part of this outing was awesome!!! It was one of those moments that I wish I could freeze time, and spend a little longer in. Life doesn't get much better than this, out with good friends, in a beautiful place, and all the while our children are laughing and smiling the whole time. Thanks so much to the Wright family, we loved it!!!

Way to go Dad!!!

I didn't even know this was possible. How cool is this. I was so nervous for Cutler because I couldn't get up with just me, how in the world do you get up with two people, and not face plant it a few time. It was a smooth ride for Cutler, they got up, and when they were done he gentle sunk back in the water.

Obviously this isn't us...we absolutely loved watching Nick go!!!

Now this was AWESOME!!! Laughter is contagious, and none of us could stop laughing while we watched these boys go tubing. They were bubbling with laughter the whole time.
