Halloween 2011

There is nothing better than Halloween around here in the neighborhood. I look forward to it all year long, and I use to never be like that. The whole neighborhood is out with tons of kids, lots of decoration, and a tun of FUN!!! We have one circle that does hot dogs, with chips, and a drink. Their neighbor does a little spook alley. And then there is just the plain fun of trick or treating!

Daddy Daughter Date

 After a long awaited date it finally arrived.  Kiley and her big date with Dad.  I think she asked him everyday for a month if it was her date day.  Dad took her to a halloween cooking class, where they would be making witches brew.  What a great chance for her to wear her witches costume.  She is so stinkin' cute!

Can you believe it that she used that knife?  YIKES!!!  She now believes she can cut food.

This is witches brew, Rob said it was delicious, Kiley didn't like it.  I am not surprised, but I wish I could have some.

Luckily they enjoyed some delicious rootbeer, and some yummy donuts.

Preschool Field Trip

 Kiley loves preschool!!! She asks to go everyday, and now when we pull up to Miss Missy's house she jumps out of the car and runs in all by herself. She barely even says good-bye. Sad, and happy all at the same time.  We love this little girl!!!

Today was her first field trip with her class, and I couldn't wait to go with her. Except that it was freezing. Luckily I dressed her warm, but I sure wish I had a few more layers on. We went to a pumpkin patch, and enjoy picking pumpkins, seeing animals, eating lunch (in my car because we were so cold), and then played on their playground. We had so much fun!

It's no picnic

Neil L. Anderson said in October general conference, "Having young children is not easy. Many days are just difficult. A young mother got on a bus with seven children. The bus driver asked, “Are these all yours, lady? Or is it a picnic?”
“They’re all mine,” she replied. “And it’s no picnic."

Quite frankly this is how I feel today, it's no picnic. How is it that one can feel so much grattitude for all that I have, and yet all in the same breath feel completely overwhelmed? Is there something to say to a tired young mother that will not only lift her spirits, but increase her energy?

I told my husband tonight, "I have so much desire to feel energy, vibrant, strong, lovingly, and patient, and yet my body feels otherwise." Today I kept trying to move, and yet I couldn't...my body completely disagreed with my mind. So I was forced to lay down all day. Some would say WAHOO!!! It doesn't work like that when your a mother, all that takes place in the home requires you, and the worst part about it, when Mom is down others follow suit. So, at the end of my night I am assessing the damages, and tomorrow I will hope for a more cooperative body that will correct the problems of today.

But amongst my exhaustion today, I can say I wouldn't trade it, none of it!!! I felt so much joy today as I watched my children destroy my house, why? Because they are wonderful! They are exactly who they are suppose to be, and more. My oldest asked if he could do family home evening tonight, and with no help...He ran the show. WOW!!! The whole time, I fought my body for the few minutes of family home evening, and required it to be an active participate in this event...because it matters. He matters to me, and the person he is becoming.

And as much as I dread this exhaustion and nausea that will still be here tomorrow...its just right. There is a life inside of me, and that is a miracle full of blessings. So I will take it with a grateful hand.

Lagoon

It is time for a little lagoon fun!!!  Our kids love this place, and they look forward to it each year.  We had so much fun today.  The weather was perfect, and a couple of our friends were able to join us this time.  We love the fall setting, especially the trick or treat lanes.  This year they had two different trails for the kids to go on.  We didn't do any of the haunted houses this year, no one really likes going in them.  The best part of going in the fall is the lines are short!  We stayed all the way until 9:00 p.m. and I think the kids could've gone longer.  Cutler as always looks forward to the crazy, scary rides, so he loved when he rode wicked without holding on.  Cole rode a lot of rides that he normally doesn't.  He went on spider, the pirate ship, and more.  He loved the whole night!!!  And couldn't wait to tell Grandma and Grandpa Ingles thanks for all their hard work so we could go to Lagoon.  Kiley loves all of the kids area in Lagoon, and can't wait to ride Bombora!!! Carson on the other handed wanted nothing to do with the rides, but luckily he was a perfect angel the whole night.

Pumpkin Patch

It is time to get out of the house and into the beautiful fall weather. So Kiley, Carson, and I and a few of our friends enjoy the pumpkin patch. We loved wondering around the maze, getting pulled in the cart, and picking up a few fall items. These two little kiddos are so much fun to be around!!!

Goalie

Cole played goalie for the first half of the game today. Cole is one intense soccer player. He really knows how to run after the ball! Way to go Cole, we love watching you play any sport!

Kiley Soccer

After spending countless hour watching her older brother's practice and play it is Kiley's turn to play a little soccer. Well, she may not be the most aggressive out there, but she didn't cry. Which is really good for her age. She also was pretty willing to go play when asked to by the coach. Her favorite part though was for sure the snack at the end of the game. Although this game she is isn't wearing it, normally she played soccer in a skirt. She looked so stinkin' cute, I didn't mind at all!!!
